Many photos on this website are physically challenging and modeled by experienced yoga teachers or advanced yoga students.  This website provides factual informational about hatha yoga and is not intended as a substitute for formal instruction by a certified yoga teacher.

Without proper training and preparation you can injure yourself practicing Hatha yoga especially more vigorous forms like Ashtanga or power yoga.  Yoga postures should not be attempted without guidance from a certified yoga teacher about proper alignment for each posture to prevent injuries.
